Lichess again.

I didn't play on Lichess for a while after I logged out once and was unable to log in again because of a password problem.

After that Lichess added a possibility to enter an email to recover a password.
Now I decided start all over with a new account, as I couldn't use my original Schuivert account anymore.
So Schuiverts it is.

I already had some fun playing a horrible game yesterday, where I gave away my Queen and other pieces, but my opponent did the same an resigned before I could react.

So back to training it is :-)

This is a nice one:

Find the best move for black.

Solution can be found here on Lichess.

Laurent Fressinet plays a masterpiece and takes down Kramnik!

A surprising video. Denmark isn't the world's leading chess country, so it is very nice to see something this refreshing coming from this country.

Bullet Academy - Episode 1 - Premoves

FM Ingvar Johannesson a.k.a. Zibbit posted a video as the first one in a series called "bullet academy". This one is about pre-moving in bullet chess.
It is very instructive video as he clearly is able to show the benefits of it.

A nice quote from the beginning of the video:
"Some people say it (bullet-chess) is not chess, but of course you need chess skill to be good at it".
I am looking forward to watch part 2 - hovering,

There is more at http://zibbitchess.com/  or @zibbitvideos on twitter.

( I am deliberately linking to his activities, perhaps he gets notified somehow and it might motivate him to try to keep his new years resolution - Áfram Ingvar!)

Garry Kasparov on "Achieving Your Potential"

Through a link on på www.reddit.com/r/chess i found this probably well known video:

A very interesting one to watch, the first part because of the subject and his views, and the second part because of his good answers to questions from the audience.
For example with some points about his match with Deep Blue that I hadn't heard of before. Or the last question about when to start teaching children, with a beautiful and elaborate answer.

Link to Chess Notes

"Edward Winter's Chess Notes is the most amazing website on Chess history."

This sentence can be found on the SCID sourceforge homepage, and I think it is true.
I spent a great deal of time on it already, and found it to be amazingly fascinating with a wealth of pictures, articles, questions and the likes.

Via chess24.com:

Vladimir Kramnik speaks frankly at the end of this video about the Kings Indian, its benefits and problems.
